A Fine Winter's Day for a Walk

Over the weekend, we had some warm weather move in. We all decided that it would be nice to take a walk to get out of the house. The Petite Princess was very proud to be walking All By Herself! She walked for most of the cul de sac, then headed back to her Royal Conveyance, a.k.a. her stroller. We continued on, up several hills and took her back out on another level spot. She was distracted by two boys riding battery powered four wheelers. She watched them until she was ready for her afternoon nap, so she retired to her carriage and her loving minions swiftly returned her to the house.

Snow Days!

We've been snowed in all week. I should say, iced in. We had a bunch of days where the temperature was below freezing, then an ice storm came in. The snow hit the roads and froze into ice. We've never seen so much snow here!





We had enough warning that we were able to stock up on food before the storm hit. So we've had a fun time, playing in the snow, making snow ice cream and enjoying the beautiful view. Having advance warning made a huge difference; this could have been ugly.

These Feet Were Made For Walkin'

After gifting her Grandminions with the sight of her first real steps, the Tiny Overlord has decided that crawling is now beneath her. She walks almost everywhere. Sure, she's still a bit wobbly and she falls down a lot, but she catches herself, pulls herself back up and keeps on walking. Much more of her world is now in her reach.

We're in trouble now.
